ZIP or postal code mismatch at checkout

Why the ZIP code on your card matters and how to fix the issue.

Written by Trybe Fm

If your payment was declined right at checkout, the most common reason is that the ZIP or postal code linked to your card did not match what was entered.

Why this happens

Your bank checks that the billing ZIP code on your card matches the one entered at checkout. If they don't match, the payment is declined automatically.

The amount on my card

What you see is only a temporary pending hold from the bank side. It should disappear automatically, usually within a few days.

How to fix it

Try again using the exact billing ZIP code that matches the card. If you moved recently and your bank still has your old address, use the old one.
